【Item】 Kyoshi Takahama Handwritten Materials, 3 Items 1. Manuscript of a Haiku, handwritten on Japanese paper with a brush: "Far mountains, the sun shines upon the withered field." 2. Two postcards addressed to Mr. Raicho Koshiyama (Yoshimitsu Koshiyama): Signed by Kyoshi Takahama, with the Fugain seal of Kiyoshi Takahama. The photos show the handwritten haiku with white cardstock underneath the Japanese paper for better visibility. Offered for sale to organize my collection. Received from my father in a bulk transfer; the acquisition route and authenticity are unknown. I believe these are valuable materials, so I will sell them to someone who understands their value. They are in relatively good condition, but as they are old, I am listing them as "slightly scratched or stained." Please examine the images and consider before purchasing. 1. One of Kyoshi Takahama's representative haiku, "Far mountains, the sun shines upon the withered field," is handwritten on Japanese paper. 2. One postcard has the Fugain seal (address seal) and reads: Kiyoshi Takahama, Nogishi, Komoro-machi, Nagano Prefecture. Postmark: Nagano Komoro, 22.7.9 The other postcard has Kyoshi's signature. Postmark: Kamakura, 24.5.6 For reference, I have included photos of other postcards I own (not included in this sale). (Reference) Kyoshi Takahama (Kyoshi Takahama) was a Japanese haiku poet and novelist of the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras. His real name was Kiyoshi Takahama. He was a member of the Japan Art Academy, a Person of Cultural Merit, and a recipient of the Order of Culture. He was involved in the editing of the haiku magazine "Hototogisu" and was closely associated with Shiki Masaoka and Soseki Natsume, leaving a lasting mark on Japanese literature. There are no smokers in the house. As these items have been handled by someone else, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about initial scratches or damage during shipping.
