Handmade Item A22 Sword Hammer and Mallet Set Tools This is an unused sword hammer and mallet set used for removing the handle (called "tsuka" in Japanese) of a Japanese sword. See the usage example in photo 5. Using a separate "mekugi-nuki" (peg remover), you tap the wooden block with the mallet as shown in the photo to remove the peg.
