I bought it new and used it for baby swim classes a few times over about a year. Since we always used swim diapers, I believe it's been kept hygienic. There's no noticeable fuzzing. However, the elastic on the inside has deteriorated and is broken. See photo 3. (Since it's not on the outside, I've marked it as having no noticeable scratches or stains.)
