This book is a reprint that faithfully reproduces the original first edition published by Iwanami Shoten in 1915 (Taisho 4), from the binding to the paper quality. The first edition of "Michikusa" was designed by the painter Seifu Tsuda, with Soseki himself being particular about the binding, making it a very beautiful book. The cloth binding of the main body and the gold foil stamping on the spine are preserved in very beautiful condition.
