It is a piece of military jewelry that allows you to feel a glimpse of history, as soldiers at the time would have obtained it at PXs (base stores) and souvenir shops in port cities. It has an earthy, alluring quality like a well-used antique, which cannot be replicated by new accessories. It goes perfectly with rugged men's styles such as military jackets, denim, and leather jackets. [About the Material] This item has some vintage-specific verdigris (green rust), and since it has no markings, we conducted our own specific gravity tests. As a result, we found that it is a denser and heavier material than general brass, so we estimate that it is a copper-based alloy "nickel silver (German silver)". We were able to acquire this ring from a local dealer in San Diego, which is also a US Navy base, who had a collection of stock items from that time.
