Although it is unused, I will classify it as "near new" due to long-term storage. Riso Gama, a kiln in Arita-yaki, boasts high popularity. Shinji Terauchi, the fourth-generation head, was fascinated by old Imari pottery shards and faithfully reproduced the patterns drawn in the Edo period, adding new arrangements. The resulting vessels are also called "contemporary old Imari." They continue to create the charm of old Imari, which is still fresh and even modern, with white porcelain and indigo blue sometsuke (underglaze). Many fans are drawn to Riso Gama's delicate and unique patterns and the high technical skill used to express them. I purchased this item as a soba bowl. The shop owner of the general goods store went to the kiln about once a month to purchase items and was on good terms with the head of the kiln. I was able to purchase new items as they were released. At the time, the head of the kiln was very interested in making soba, so he may have made this soba bowl. It is small and slender for a bowl, which is unusual. I look forward to thinking about various ways to use it.
