For sale: A vintage, made-in-Japan Nikkan (predecessor to Yamaha) TR-133 trumpet. This is a vintage trumpet manufactured in 1969 by "Nippon Kangakki," also known as Nikkan, the predecessor to Yamaha's wind instrument division. Its style, reminiscent of the CONN 22B (New York Symphony), exudes a sophisticated atmosphere. It features an MS (Medium Small) bore, which is extremely difficult to obtain in modern piston valve trumpets, and is still a popular model. The MS bore (narrow bore) is characterized by its ease of playing and clear sound, even with less breath. My impression after actually playing it was that it felt "light" first of all. This is advantageous for long hours of playing. Breathing is easy. The sound is bright and vibrant. I was able to play smoothly from the low to high registers. The condition is surprisingly good for something made over half a century ago, and it can still be actively used. All the tuning slides can be removed and attached smoothly. Please note that there are minor scratches, rust, scuffs, and dents on the body due to aging. This is not recommended for those who are overly sensitive.
