This is a tungsten jig head for Ajing (Japanese horse mackerel fishing) using an open-gap, Japanese-made jig hook for small and medium-sized horse mackerel. I selected materials and designed the balance without compromise for my own use. The hook is a Range Cross Hook SS size from DoiTomi, a Japanese manufacturer, chosen for its sharpness and durability. This hook size is suitable for horse mackerel from 10cm to 20cm. A tungsten bead is fixed to it with high-strength UV resin. I focused on a low-center-of-gravity, horizontal balance. The balance is achieved at the eye section. Also, as shown in the fourth photo, the design has a low center of gravity that allows the worm to stand up when it lands during a free fall, enabling the simulation of small fish pecking at the seabed or polychaetes entering and exiting the seabed. This jig head can create a horizontal posture during tension fall and simulate small fish or polychaetes pecking at the bottom during free fall. This balance is what I am particular about and is a unique feature. The weight is approximately 0.35g, and it comes in a set of 10. Please note that there may be slight weight and balance variations due to handmade production. Also, because I use a different method than many people use to make tungsten jig heads, the hook and tungsten may occasionally come apart, but there is no warranty in such cases. Please understand that there are no claims or returns. As a precaution, when removing the hook, do not hold the tungsten part; instead, grip the hook part with pliers or forceps to remove it. I have used this method myself and have never had the hook and tungsten come apart. I continue to use this jig head in my daily Ajing, so I will continue to make it.
