I have used it a few times. Personally, I felt that the higher notes were slightly subdued. There is an instruction manual, but there is no Japanese translation. There are diagrams, so I used them as a reference to set it up and use it. It has been disinfected with alcohol. Since this is a used item, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such things. We live with a cat. Please refrain from purchasing if you have a cat allergy, for health reasons.
