Originally purchased for around 250,000 yen, it was later routed for a humbucker configuration, and customized with a pickguard and DiMarzio pickups. All work was done by a professional repairman (repairs alone cost over 50,000 yen). The pickups are a PRO TRACK in the neck position and a TONE ZONE in the bridge position. This guitar is an all-Timeless Timber specification. Timeless Timber refers to: Exquisite wood, Timeless Timber, which has been submerged in the lakebed. This luxurious model uses Timeless Timber for the body and neck. Timeless Timber is hardwood that was submerged in the depths of the Great Lakes for 70 to 250+ years after being felled, then recovered and dried. *Timeless Timber is the general term for the wood recovered by TimelessTimber. The GH-S1M uses Timeless Timber (T・T wood) maple and basswood for the body, and T・T maple in a 1-piece construction for the neck. It was a high-end model in the HISTORY lineup at the time, and is the only model that uses T・T wood for the body, neck, and fingerboard. There are signs of use and some dings commensurate with its age, but it's still a fully functional instrument. Accessories include a tremolo arm and a non-original soft case.
