This is a hagoita (decorative paddle) I made 7 years ago using mizuhiki (decorative cords) from a yuino (engagement ceremony) decoration. I displayed it only once, during the Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival). The design uses old obi fabric, and the back features old fabric with gold thread embroidery and cut-out flowers made from old fabric. The fan is one that came with the yuino set. It has been stored in a box, so there are no noticeable stains, and it is very clean. Please check the images.
