This is a beautiful 4/4 full-size violin for sale. I would be able to set the price more confidently if it had a label, but unfortunately, it doesn't have one. There are no signs of it having been removed, so it may be the kind of instrument made by a craftsman in a private workshop and directly given to a customer. * The soundpost, neck angle, bridge, string height, etc., are all in perfect condition and ready to play immediately. * The strings are Thomastik-Infeld's TI for GDA and Pirastro's Evah Pirazzi for E. They are still usable, but please replace them as needed. This instrument is quite particular about strings, which makes it challenging but also interesting. (Dominant strings didn't suit it, in my subjective opinion...) * The tone is, as you might expect from its appearance, bright. However, it's not a stark or cold brightness; it's soft, moist, and has a shimmering, glossy quality. (I think the strings also contribute to this.) * There are some areas where the varnish has peeled (see photo 13, where the left hand touches during high positions), and there are touch-up marks, but overall, the condition is good. Antique finishes seem to be in vogue recently, and a full varnish (a normal, even varnish finish) feels rare these days. An antique finish with character is difficult, but a uniform varnish finish is also a very challenging task that doesn't allow for any deception. As mentioned above, in addition to the varnish finish, the peg processing, etc. (although it may not be conveyed well in the photos), I believe this is a first-class instrument meticulously finished by a strict craftsman. I'd love to keep this interesting instrument, but I've already decided on my main instrument, and I'm putting it up for sale to declutter. I may withdraw the listing if the other instruments I'm selling are sold, so please understand if it's suddenly removed... I don't intend to sell it at a bargain price, but I will lower the price as appropriate, and I'm open to offers. It comes with a case, bow, and shoulder rest, so it's also recommended for beginners. I think it's an instrument that will continue to develop its sound and will be enjoyable to play in the future. Please consider it.
