Defective 42-inch LG LCD TV Problem: Remote control often doesn't work, possibly due to a faulty remote. The screen's backlight is as shown in the image. The TV displays channels properly when connected to an antenna. Terrestrial, BS, and CS channels all display correctly, but the backlight is visible from behind. Unlike domestic brands, channel operations etc. are only possible with the remote control, so replacing the remote might fix it, but this is not guaranteed.
