This is a Taipaku-style soba choko (small bowl for soba noodles). The blurred cobalt blue painting gives this soba choko a nice atmosphere, and its small size makes it suitable for use as a sake cup as well. The foot ring is carved, but the base is slightly raised, making it a unique shape. There are two small chips on the rim, which have been repaired with gold lacquer. The gold lacquer repairs are actually silver repairs.
