This is a vintage Thermos pot, a popular item. Thermos GmbH was founded in Berlin, Germany in 1904. In 1907, companies were established in the UK, the United States, and Canada to sell products under this trademark, and they quickly became popular in English-speaking countries. Model no. 65 was manufactured by British THERMOS between 1945 and 1955. Due to its high design quality, it is part of the collection at the V&A Museum in the UK. This one features a stylish two-tone color scheme of gray and wine. The wine color serves as an accent and is very impressive. The design of the spout and handle, which flow seamlessly, is a beautiful example of Art Deco style. It is made of urea resin, a material invented in the 1920s. The inside is glass, and the lid is made of resin and cork. There is almost no discoloration on the resin parts, and they are in beautiful condition. Regarding the cork, it cracked due to aging when I tried to examine its condition. It cannot be glued, so I replaced it with a new cork (images 7-8). The length of the cork is slightly shorter, but there are no problems with its appearance or use. I tested its heat retention by pouring in hot water, and it is in a fully functional condition. While modern products are undoubtedly superior in terms of functionality, this pot is highly recommended for everyday use. I personally enjoyed it as interior decoration without actually using it.
