This is a tapestry made by upcycling a used, genuine silk (正絹) fukuro obi (袋帯). The obi is in like-new condition with no signs of wear, which is quite rare. As shown in the last photo, it was titled "Early Spring Plum Viewing Scroll" (早春観梅絵巻). The overall color scheme is spring-like and pale, giving it an elegant feel. It's perfect for everyday use, and will also add extra splendor to a Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) display.
