Thank you for viewing! I purchased this new from the website and used it for two summers at my child's kindergarten pool. It wasn't a serious pool, just for playing in the water, so I don't think there's much damage to the cap itself. I washed it by hand every time. I don't feel like the color has faded much either. The issues are that there's a spot where I removed a round sticker with a name on the brim, and there's some slightly whitish damage. It blocked the sun, was cute, and easy to spot, so it was a favorite. It looks good when worn, but since it was used by a child, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about the condition. Regarding the size, it only says "for children"... The back is elastic, so my first-grade daughter can still wear it. It wasn't originally tight, and it's not suitable for serious swimming. However, it wasn't tight, so she didn't dislike it at all, and she enjoyed playing in the water.
