This is a Bach long cornet, model 181ML. The serial number is in the 210,000 range, so it's quite old. The exterior, as you can see in the images, has a lot of lacquer wear. There are also signs of dent repair on the bell, but the dent removal itself seems to have been done cleanly, and I don't think there are any dents, including on the branches of the tubing. Each slide and piston moves normally. The pistons are airtight enough, and I think it's an instrument that can still be used. Long cornets are still made by Bach, but they've become rare. It has a sound that's somewhere between a trumpet and a cornet (short), so I think it's especially effective in brass bands and orchestras. It's also used in jazz solos. I've found it useful in various situations, but I'm no longer using cornets, so I'm selling it to organize my equipment. How about it for those who don't mind the appearance? In preparation for sale, I have cleaned the inside of the tubing. At that time, I (deliberately) did not apply grease. Please use it according to your preference. If you wish, I will apply grease and ship it with this setting. Basically, the instrument itself only. I will ship it in a case for shipping.
