At my aunt's house, there's a room filled with gifts. Actually, two rooms (lol). "Auntie, you have so many towels, you could use a new one every day for the rest of your life and still not run out (lol)." So, I got some new towels from her, some not in boxes, just in big plastic bags. I washed them once when I got home. I cut off the folded edges of the towels, folded them in quarters, and sewed them. The towels were free, thanks to my aunt, but I used Fujix Chappe Copain thread. You can find this thread at 100-yen shops these days, but these towels are pretty absorbent, and since I cut off the thick edges, they're easy to wring out. I gave some to my sister, and she's using them in the kitchen. She said, "I can wipe everything up at once, and I want to give them to my friends too."
