It is produced by "Yoshinoya," which has been passing down the traditional craft of "Sukagawa E-nobori" for generations. *Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, is the birthplace of Eiji Tsuburaya (the creator of Ultraman). The guardian deity of the Tang Dynasty in China, "Shoki," is depicted as a charm against evil and for celebratory decorations. Currently, the sixth generation, Seihou (Shuji), continues the tradition of hand-painted dyeing and is working on developing framed pictures and indoor E-nobori, which are used not only for the Tango no Sekku (Boys' Festival) but also as commemorative items and interior decorations.
