I purchased this from the Sonia Rykiel shop at Seibu Department Store over 30 years ago. The Sonia velvet from back then had a long pile and a luxurious feel. This design wasn't very common in Japan and was very popular, so they had to order it from another store. It looks white in the photos, but it's actually a pink closer to salmon pink. The last photo is the closest representation of the color. The gold thread embroidery is a Sonia Rykiel signature detail. The ribbon is removable, so you can wear it in different styles. The gold buttons at the neckline can also be undone, making it easy to put on and take off. It has a generous width, so it can accommodate someone who wears a size L.
