Thank you for viewing. This is a Palo de Lluvia, a percussion instrument made by inserting cactus spines into a dried cactus tube and filling it with seeds or small grains. When tilted slowly, it makes a sound like rain watering dry land. This item was brought back from South America about 20 years ago by a relative of the seller. It is approximately 50cm long.
