This is a work of art that uses the "wheel engraving technique," a special technique among the gravure decorations, which have been treated as one of the rarest and most delicate services in antique Baccarat. Wheel engraving technique = Copper wheel engraving depends on the skill of the craftsman and is said to be the technique that requires the most time to produce. It was mainly seen in works for the World's Fair even in the old days of Baccarat, and is very valuable as an antique. This masterpiece, engraved with the same technique as "Marenne," known as Baccarat's highest peak model, was produced only by craftsmen who were awarded the title of M.O.F. (Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Best Craftsman of France) among Baccarat's technicians.
