Kannon Bosatsu (観音菩薩, Sanskrit: Avalokiteśvara) is a bodhisattva in Buddhism. It has numerous other names, including Kannonzeon Bosatsu (観世音菩薩), Kanjizai Bosatsu (観自在菩薩), and Kuse Bosatsu/Guse Bosatsu (救世菩薩). Made of brass, height 61cm, weight 15kg. The craftsmanship is exquisitely carved, with clear patterns and a lifelike appearance, possessing high artistic and collectible value. Commonly referred to as "Kannon-sama." It is widely worshipped and venerated based on the *Kan'on-gyō* (Lotus Sutra) and other scriptures. It is also a bodhisattva who appears at the beginning of the *Heart Sutra* and is a symbol of the wisdom of Prajna. In Pure Land Buddhism, according to the *Kanmuryōjukyō* (Sutra of Immeasurable Life), it is often enshrined alongside Seishi Bosatsu as an attendant of Amitabha. Kannon Bosatsu's fundamental vow is great compassion. In China, from the Six Dynasties period, miracle stories (Fu Liang's *Kōseion Ōkenki*, Zhang Yan's *Zoku Kannonzeon Ōkenki*, and Lu Gao's *Kei Kannonzeon Ōkenki*) were left behind. In Japan, there have been examples of statues since the Asuka period, and it has been widely worshipped regardless of time or region, being associated with worldly benefits. In Japan, influenced by Kumarajiva's translation of the *Lotus Sutra*, if one calls upon the name of Kannon with "Namu Kannonzeon Bosatsu," Kannon will transform into thirty-three different forms (the Thirty-Three Kannon) according to the status and circumstances of the person seeking help, and will rush to provide salvation no matter who they are or where they are, gaining immense faith[12]. Kannon's dwelling place, the Pure Land, is called Potalaka (補陀落). The *Daihōkō Butsu Kegonkyō* translated by Śikṣānanda and the *Daihōkō Butsu Kegonkyō* translated by Prajña state that it is Potalaka in the Malaya mountain range of southern India.
