YAMAHA Cornet YCR-631 No.00686 Purchased in 1971 Accessories: Mouthpiece YAMAHA #9, Case, Instruction Manual/Inspection Certificate Although it's been over 50 years, there are small scratches on the lacquer, but no dents. The water key cork has been replaced. This is a professional model (with inspection certificate). At the time, there were college models, but Imperial and Custom models did not exist. The following is an excerpt from the instruction manual (see photos). "Monel metal is used for the pistons, and each one is hand-wrapped. Red brass is used for the bell and the leadpipe. The bore of the bell is made wider than that of a trumpet, and the U-shaped bend has a stomach shape. Nickel silver is used for the outer slide and the mouthpiece receiver. The total weight is only 990g."
