A valuable piece from the time when Vintage Clothing was made in the now-defunct Valencia factory. Compared to the current LVC, the fabric is thicker, and the aging, fading, unique stiffness, and hardness give it a vintage impression. This 551ZXX is the base model for the current 505, and is a reproduction of the 1961 551ZXX Big E. This model was the first to undergo pre-shrinking. While the 501XX has a button-fly, this one has a zipper. The model name changed to 505 in '67, so the production period was short. There is almost no fading, and it is in very good condition. The color remains more than the deadstock 551Z made in the USA washed twice, so I think the condition is very good. It's hard to believe it was released over 27 years ago, in June 1998.
