This is a HISTORY GH-BJ4AH. It's a Fujigen-made bass from the early days, using Timeless Timber. The price of domestically-made basses has risen recently, and this is a bass from a time when materials were still relatively available. The list price was around 200,000 yen, I believe. I bought it used and have been using it. The resonance of the Timeless Timber is amazing, and as expected from Fujigen, the neck fits perfectly. The fretwork is also meticulous, and it makes me appreciate the quality of Japanese craftsmanship. It's equipped with the Circle Fretting System (CFS), and I think the pitch is stable. I mainly use electric guitars, but I was able to use this bass without any discomfort because of its slim neck. It also has Kent Armstrong pickups, which can produce sounds suitable for any genre. Regarding the sound (this is subjective), it's like a Jazz Bass, with a beautiful mid-range to high-range sound. It's more suited for technical playing with single notes than for slapping. Especially when playing chords, it produces beautiful harmonies. I bought it used, and it was already well-played and resonant when I got it. The sound is good, but there are scratches and rust. There's also a little bit of crackling. I haven't touched the truss rod since I bought it, so I don't know how tight it is. I haven't had any concerns since I bought it, so I think it's stable, but I can't guarantee it. * One of the pickup screw heads is stripped. I forced it, so there are scratches on the pickup cover. This is a player's condition instrument, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a pristine instrument. I would like to sell it to someone who wants a playable instrument, has some knowledge, and doesn't mind the details. I'm conveying the condition to the best of my knowledge.
