My father enthusiastically told me, "This guitar uses truly fine wood and is a valuable instrument that you don't find these days." ■ Charm and History of This Guitar This is a guitar made in 1980 by the brand "Yamaki," carefully crafted by Japanese craftsmen at the time. Yamaki, compared to famous brands, had a lower profile back then, but they competed on the quality of materials and the meticulousness of their work. They were a craftsman-like manufacturer that delivered surprisingly high-quality guitars at low prices, according to my father. Artistic Wood Grain (Ovangkol Wood): The back features "Ovangkol" wood, with a powerful and beautiful, wavy grain. This is a unique expression specific to this individual guitar. Luxurious Decoration: The headstock features "vertical logo" mother-of-pearl inlay, and the fingerboard has "hexagon inlays," giving it a very luxurious appearance reminiscent of the D-45 style. Vintage Elegance: After 45 years, the spruce top has aged to a deep amber color, creating a wonderful atmosphere that is beautiful just to display. ■ Condition and Adjustment My father played this guitar with care, occasionally maintaining it. This time, it has been adjusted for easy playing before being listed. Playability: The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 3.0mm for the 6th string and approximately 2.8mm for the 1st string. Condition: With this adjustment, there is no noticeable buzzing (unwanted string vibration), and the deep, vintage sound resonates beautifully. After approximately 45 years since its manufacture, the dry, clear, and pleasant sound continues to resonate. Appearance: Although it is 45 years old and has some minor scratches, it is in a beautiful condition that shows it has been well-cared for. ■ Delivery It will be shipped in the hard case shown in the photos. As this is a precious instrument, we will carefully pack it with cushioning materials such as bubble wrap over the case to ensure it arrives safely.
