【Excellent Condition】【Wooden】YAMAHA YRS-42 Soprano Recorder This is the YRS-43, a domestically-made wooden recorder from YAMAHA. Made by Takeyama Woodwind Instruments, I believe it's of a similar grade to Zen-On's 1650BA and Consort, etc., but this one has a more luxurious appearance and internal features. It appears to be a double-hole, Baroque-style instrument. Cork grease and a cleaning rod are included. It seems to have been used very little, and although it's an old instrument, the tone holes and mouthpiece are clean. The previous owner's initials are engraved on the foot joint. The connection cork on the head joint is slightly loose. If you are concerned, please have the cork re-wrapped at a musical instrument store. While overseas brands like Mollenhauer and Mollenhauer are good, why not try the tone of a Japanese Yamaha wooden recorder? This model is no longer in production, but the current entry-level Yamaha wooden recorder, the YRS-61, has a list price of 35,200 yen (including tax). This is probably positioned one step below that.
