From a French antique market.
A simple, small compote stand made of white metal, perfect for everyday use. I don't think the material is pewter; it's whiter.
It has a substantial weight, so it should be stable even with heavy items like fruit. It could also be used as a tray for keys and change in the entryway. Cake plate, fruit plate.
There's a small marking on the bottom, but it's too small to read.
