At the time of purchase, an event was being held, and it was sold as a limited-edition original item by Mr. Hayashida. This feather is quite rare, with probably less than 10 in existence. I prefer the natural oxidation, so I haven't polished it since I bought it. The gold part also has a nice gold burn. The carving is fine and delicate, and the oxidation gives it a sense of luxury, which is my personal preference.
