This is a patchwork flannel shirt from Sonic Lab, a line once offered by Nepenthes. The design, which involves vertically cutting and reassembling used flannel shirts, has been carried on by Needles. I purchased it about 20 years ago and have hardly worn it. With vintage clothing making a comeback, the fact that it uses printed flannel is fantastic. The fact that the pattern is printed on the flannel fabric, rather than woven, is precious nowadays. This cheap and casual look is something you can't get with new items. It has a great presence worn alone in spring and autumn, and is a versatile item that can also be worn as an inner layer in winter.
