Important Intangible Cultural Property Honba Yuki-Tsumugi Jibata Ori (hand-woven) 100-Kikko (tortoise shell pattern) total pattern, awase (lined) kimono. This Hon-Yuki has a nice, well-developed texture, with a soft and fluffy feel. It's very light. This is also an item I sought out while researching Yuki-Tsumugi, and it has been authenticated. It has an exquisite feel that gently and warmly envelops your stiff body on a cold day, providing ultimate comfort (*^_^*) This Hon-Yuki features a unique pattern with two-color kasuri (ikat) creating a flower crest and horizontal stripes. You can enjoy a unique style that doesn't overlap with others. It's individualistic but not too casual, and the flower crest adds elegance, while still retaining the dignity of Hon-Yuki. It's difficult to convey in the images, but the real thing is a wonderful Hon-Yuki. This item meets the three requirements of being designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Hon-Yuki. The certification slip is missing and not included, but to make it clear, it is a 'Yui' (knot) and 'Jibata' (hand-woven) item based on the current certification. Length from shoulder: Approximately 163.7cm (inside hem: front 2cm, back 5.5cm) 裄 (yuki - back width): Approximately 67cm (currently, about 2cm can be let out, and about 3.5cm if the lining is changed.) Sleeve length: Approximately 49cm Front width: Approximately 25.7cm Back width: Approximately 30.5cm Wide collar, awase tailoring, using high-quality hakke (lining) The base color is black. The hakke color is close to karairo (birch color) or benikaba (red birch). It's a bright brown color, not a vermilion color. The condition is slightly imperfect. There are no noticeable stains or dirt on the outer fabric, but there is a very slight collar stain on the wide collar, and a small, inconspicuous hole in the right miyatsukuchi (armpit opening). (See images, it's not a noticeable hole.) Also, there was a small stain on the hakke part of the right collar tip of the lining. (See images) This Hon-Yuki has been washed, stretched, and re-tailored after being worn, so you can feel the fluffy, soft texture and the well-worn feel of the fabric, which conveys the impression of a well-developed Hon-Yuki (*^_^*) It's very light and comfortable to wear, so I recommend it!
