Early Showa Period Semi-Antique Maezashi (Hair Ornament for the Front) A hairpin with a single plum blossom and a bell. This item is perfect for the New Year or the months of January and February!! In the old days, it was used in my family's beauty salon for Japanese hairstyles of brides. Material unknown Probably made of silver. I am not certain. It is a heavy item with very elaborate craftsmanship. Even the fine yak (stamens) of the plum blossoms are included, and although the overall color is silver, the inside of the petals and the receptacle are gold.
