This is a cute soprano-sized MAHALO banjo ukulele. While many models are concert size, the charming, crisp sound is unique to the soprano size. The Gotoh UPTL pegs (newly installed) give it a clean look, and its lightness improves the balance when held compared to geared pegs. The high-performance gears also free you from the stress of tuning. The headstock back has been shaved about 1.2mm to accommodate the peg change, the original screw holes have been filled, and it has been varnished. Since this is amateur work, please consider it as junk. If you are good at DIY, you can remove it with sandpaper and repaint it mahogany color for a nice finish. The new pegs alone cost about 10,000 yen, so it's a good deal. A strap pin has also been installed at the neck joint. It has a contact pickup, so you can perform on stage immediately with a banjo-like sound. The neck is straight with no warping. The string height is about 2.0mm at the 12th fret, making it easy to play. The strings are Orcas medium gauge. A strap and an original soft case are included. The white sponge for muting is a bonus (it makes a loud sound when removed). Although there are some imperfections in appearance, it's a banjo ukulele with excellent playability and sound.
