"V" Ralph Peterson Quintet The first new release from the Somethin' Else label, launched in Japan in 1988 as a sister label to Blue Note. This ambitious masterpiece was sent out by Ralph Peterson, a promising young drummer at the time, towards the 90s. Except for one song, the exciting and melodic tracks, starting with "Enemy Within," were all composed by Peterson. The members include Terence Blanchard on trumpet, Steve Wilson on sax, Geri Allen on piano, and Phil Bowler on bass, all young talents. This popular album won the Jazz Disc Award from SJ magazine in the same year. First release, and in like-new condition.
