I purchased this over 20 years ago from an antique shop in France. As you can see in the photos, it's a very beautiful, hand-painted enamel teapot. The deep navy blue, like cobalt blue, is adorned with elegant white flowers, making it a lovely and rare piece. I was told it was meticulously crafted around 1910-20 by artisans from Japy or Etoile. The hand-painted enamel has a raised, puffy texture. The condition is as it was when I purchased it. There's a small chip on the lid, but the inside is very clean, and it's high-quality, vintage enamel. As you can see in the photos, the lid sits slightly raised, but it still closes. This is sometimes seen in old enamel pieces. There's a small protrusion inside the handle, which appears to be from the manufacturing process. This is a rare antique enamel piece that I haven't seen used much. It's really cute as a display piece, and it seems practical as a small pot or even a watering jug. It's also recommended for those who love navy and dark blue, or those who decorate their kitchen shelves with blue items.
