I build amplifier and speaker cabinets in my spare time, in addition to my main business of furniture making. I've been working on a general-purpose speaker cabinet bit by bit in my limited free time. I selected SPF lumber from the market with few knots, and used high-quality lauan plywood for the back panel. I hope you can use this cabinet as a base and enjoy experimenting with it, such as adding sound-absorbing materials, changing the speakers and wiring, and finding your favorite sound. The grain is continuous because the boards are assembled in order. The older growth rings (the outside of the tree) are on the outside of the cabinet, just as they were when the wood was growing. The body is joined with half-blind dovetail joints. I try to be as careful as possible in the manufacturing process, but there may be scratches, dents, warping, chips, cracks, color unevenness, paint unevenness, and speaker mounting marks, so please judge from the photos.
