Thank you very much for viewing this item on Mercari. Please be careful of individuals who are illegally re-posting and falsely listing items from Mercari sellers, as well as fraudulent websites. This item is an authentic, handwritten, antique hanging scroll by Marquis Michihisa Koga, a court noble from the Edo period, originally from Kyoto. Michihisa Koga was a peerage member during the Meiji and Taisho eras, serving as a member of the House of Peers, a Major General in the Army, and Governor of Tokyo. He was also awarded the Senior First Rank in 1903 (Meiji 36). Furthermore, as he retired in 1921 (Taisho 10), it is understood that this artwork was created between 1903 and 1921. He served Emperors Komei, Meiji, and Taisho. (Born 1842 (Tenpo 12) – Died 1925 (Taisho 14), age 84). For those interested in this antique, handwritten, original hanging scroll from the late Meiji to early Taisho eras, featuring the lyrics of "Kimigayo" (the Japanese national anthem), please consider adding it to your collection. Please note that this item is over 100 years old, and while the hanging scroll itself is in good condition for its age, the outer wooden box shows signs of aging and wear. We appreciate your understanding of its antique nature. Hanging scroll size: Height 142 cm, Width 37 cm; Ink writing area: Height 22 cm, Width 18 cm.
