I purchased this new 4 years ago and used it as a commuter bag for about a year. The leather parts have become quite soft. As you can see in the photos, they curl up if not secured by the buckles. However, they are not deteriorated to the point of tearing. Compared to new, there is a general sense of use, but there are no noticeable scratches or stains. There is a slight scratch-like mark on the bottom. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. It's sturdy and stylish, so I highly recommend it!
