Product Number: 151 Product Name: "Kinrankiku Kinshokaku" Kobaen Solid Ink This is a rare, solid ink made by Kobaen, manufactured in 1977 and 1979 (Showa 52 and Showa 54). As it is an antique item, there is some age-related deterioration on the wrapping paper and paulownia wood box. The gold-wrapped ink is prone to paint peeling. Please refer to the photos and only purchase if you understand this. It is said that solid ink is better to use after it has been aged for many years rather than immediately after manufacture, as it makes writing smoother and allows for richer expression through changes in bleeding and ink color. This item was carefully collected by my grandparents, who ran a stationery store during their lifetime. I would be very happy if it could be used by someone who will appreciate it and transform it into a wonderful work of art.
