As a carbon pole, it prioritizes flexibility rather than rigidity. It's designed to withstand forces by bending moderately, rather than resisting them directly. Therefore, when you use it for the first time, you might be worried about its thinness and flexibility, wondering if it's really strong enough. However, once you actually use it, you'll find that it can handle quite a bit of bending without any problems, and you'll get used to it quickly. It's also a great sub-pole for diamond tarp setups, Pathfinder tents, and other shelters like beak flys, where pulling the tarp from the inside can create more internal space. It's a perfect size for these secondary uses, as carrying a full-size pole for these purposes wouldn't be practical.
