#Fukumaru's Nagoya Obi Collection ■Description This is a Kyoto fukuro obi with an abstract cloud pattern using gold thread. The base is gold, and the slightly visible orange underneath makes it appear a bit darker gold. The use of hikihaku (a foil technique) makes this obi highly reflective, and its texture changes depending on how the light hits it. Although usage marks are clearly visible due to the nature of the base material, I believe it hasn't been used as much as it appears.
