This is a maroon vest. The collar is made of boa and is warm. The pockets also have boa trim. There is some pilling on the boa, but I don't mind it much. I didn't see any other major stains. I bought this a few years ago and wore it a few times before putting it in the closet. I'm a standard size M, but it felt a bit tight when I wore this vest with thick clothing, so I recommend wearing thin layers underneath.
