Kutani Ware [Shozo Morisawa, Deep Purple Glaze, Confectionery Bowl] With original box (New, Unused) This is a deep, thick glazed vessel created with a unique glaze and technique developed through extensive research. It's a shame I can't convey it in the photos, but this confectionery bowl has a truly beautiful deep navy-purple color and a shell-like luster. The beauty of the glaze is its charm. [Shozo Morisawa, Ceramic History] Entered the Ishikawa Prefectural Ceramic Research Institute in 1954. Studied under Mr. Unpei Kitayama, a Nitten artist, and trained in basic techniques such as coloring and molding. Later, studied under the late Mr. Yasokichi Tokuda I, a Living National Treasure, and Mr. Yasokichi II, a Nitten judge, receiving technical guidance in old Kutani and contemporary ceramics. After the death of Mr. Yasokichi I, he left the Tokuda family and, after becoming independent, conducted research on his own glazes, completing several types of paints and pursuing the path of ceramics.
