YAMAHA LP-400 Rare Gibson Head Made in Japan Brown Sunburst, Fully Maintained I am selling this guitar to organize my collection as I get older. I couldn't get detailed information from the serial number, but since the production of Gibson headstocks ended in the 90s, I assume it was made in the 80s. It's about 40 years old, so it has some scratches and dents. Please check the detailed images. In the 80s, Yamaha, one of the Japanese musical instrument manufacturers, had a large stock of high-quality wood, and the guitars they made used incredibly high-quality wood that is unimaginable today. The LP-400 was a low-priced model among set-neck models at the time, but it was built with a quality that is unbelievable now. BODY: Mahogany + Maple Top NECK: Mahogany + Rosewood Fingerboard Look at the color of the rosewood fingerboard; it's incredibly dark, which is impossible today. You can also see the beautiful grain on the mahogany on the back of the neck. The body is in very good condition, but the electronics were not working well, so I had them repaired. Details of maintenance and customization are as follows: Pegs → Overhauled Toggle switch → Replaced due to poor contact Volume → Replaced with CTS because it was completely broken Tone → Replaced with ALFA because of scratchiness Knobs → Replaced with knurled speed knobs Capacitors → Axial capacitors used Pickups → GOTOH Double Cream Ceramic (Original PU included) Wiring → Hand wiring with Gibson Custom Shop standard cables Shielding inside the cavity Weight: 4.3kg Fret remaining: 80% It is currently in very good condition. There is no neck warping, and you can finger freely up to the high frets. The body resonates well, and it produces a really good sound. It will be shipped in a generic soft case + cardboard box.
