This is a conch shell made from a Japanese turban shell (Akashinishigai). It can be blown and makes a sound, but it's a small one. It doesn't produce a sound as loud as a conch shell from the Sengoku period. It's a portable size for mountain climbing, and could be used as a bear whistle!
