This area, where Kanimochi Shrine is located, was once a production site of iron, which people valued as "more valuable than gold." The "Hoki Chronicle" states that there were three iron mines in Kanimochi Village, and it is said that the name "Kanimochi" came from the village's possession of these iron mines. The main deity, Amenotokotachino Mikoto, is a separate heavenly god with miraculous powers, and because of the association with gold (iron), as the village is called the village that "possesses gold," many people from all over the country visit the shrine to pray for business prosperity, financial luck, and good fortune.
