Purchased from an authorized retailer about three years ago. Worn for two years. Afterwards, a rubber sole was applied, and the shoes have been stored in a shoe box without being worn since. There is almost no wear on the heels. There are a few slight lifts on the edges of the rubber sole, but they are firmly attached, and I believe you can wear them with confidence. The luster of the bit is almost unchanged from when purchased, and you can use them for a long time. Thorough inspection will be carried out, but please understand that there may be oversights due to amateur inspection. Incidentally, a feature of these loafers is that the opening is narrow, and like the rubber sole, it took several days to widen them, making them easier to wear.
