I've had this hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom since my two children were newborns. I feel it was nice to have this kind of natural mobile on the otherwise plain ceiling. The material appears to be cotton. It's a silky, thin thread with a sheen, and it's very beautiful as an interior decoration.
